I have 4 young trees of Shikuwasha but unfortunately because of importation laws I can not send them to the state of California.

 bummer.. if you don't mind me asking which state ur located at? wanted to know which region can grow.. a grafting question for you.. let say i find someone willing send me budwood how do i harvest it and store it until i graft it? and would it work on any citrus root? thanks,millet |

I have many trees. Including new hybrids I made. Unfortunately I can't ship to you.
I had seeds as well, but few months ago.
Very nice fast growing tree, with small fruits used as lime.

Did you make hybrids with shekwasha? Yes I have about 20 Yuzu x shiikuwasha hybrids, but none has flowered yet. Quite cold hardy I can say so far. |

what's a hybrid Yuzu x shiikuwasha hybrids? Yuzu is true from seed, 99% of the time a Yuzu seed will give another Yuzu plant. Some people have cross bred the cold hardy Yuzu with another Citrus, to get a cold hardy more edible fruit. One type of these is Clem-Yuz 2-2, Clementine mandarin X Yuzu. Not sure if Yuzu x shiikuwasha has been crossed yet, but it sounds like a good combo. Haru, since you are looking for Shiikuwasha, is it not possible to find fruit in California ?? specialtyproduce.com/produce/Shikwasa_Limes_9552.phpLooks like there are some growers in CA at the bottom of this page. |

Not necessary I crosspollinated by myself, leaves look different from yuzu. I will see what fruits it will have. I am more interested to adapt it to cold. So far it took -8C without problems. |

What did you choose as the other parent in the cross pollination ? Another hardy Citrus or a more edible Citrus ?
Did you get all Hybrid seedlings ? I usually get a mix of obvious crosses and normal seedlings from a deliberate pollination,
and also often from fruit I collected for seed.
