Yep, I started to move my potted trees out along the sides of the house and further out in the yard where there is afternoon shade from my river birch trees. I should have done this years ago, but felt my trees would get more attention if closer to the house. Unfortunately, they cook on the patio from 12-5 pm. My trees are much happier in their new locations. Kinda like my kids who prefer their independence from their parents. lol. Seriously, my Smith Red is putting out more blossoms since being kicked off the patio almost 30 days ago. I find this interesting because on forums and FB groups, most people say give the trees as much sun as possible when I am seeing better results with afternoon shade.

I find that a little shade does wonders for citrus.......after 8 hours in the Louisiana sweltering sun citrus is like people....need a little cool and a drink....

Weather is going crazy. We're experiencing the second year in a row with extreme drought and tomorrow temperature is expected to reach a record high 40°C/104°F, a value never measured before here in Belgium...

I am not a fan of climate change. I think the earth goes through cycles of hot and cold eras. As for the violent weather as of late...perhaps the end is near...

Satsumas love the heat and humidity. They flush big time in this weather.
