We have a blood orange tree that was purchased in a 10 gallon container planted in the end of March in sandy soil south facing backyard in north central Florida.. I've been watering one to two times a week depending on soil and weather conditions. The tree has since experienced a spring leaf flush of new leaf growth in mid April. Lately the orange tree has been dropping older leaves and the new growth is drooping just a tad. What could be the cause? There are no insect pests, it has not rained in my area a few weeks and temperatures have been hitting 89 - 90 degrees, should I water more?..Any help is greatly appreciated.
