Hi,
Citrus newbie here, I have a pretty old Eureak lemon tree (20+ years, not sure exactly, its was here before me) in my garden.
Zone is 9B here, very windy unfortunately, but I'm motivated to plant some more trees to enjoy with my kids

You might consider planting windbreak trees. Use of trees as wind control is quite common in the Mediterranean region.
