I know the Key limes are grown in tropical climates on their own roots. In cold climates that is an issue because they don't like the cold, their root starts to have problems. I grow them from cuttings, they do good, but in winter they need minimum 15C. Do you know any compatible rootstock?

I have grafted them to trifoliata with no problems.

C. aurantifolia does very good on PT rootstock. Mine is at least 15 years old and I hold it under the same conditions as all my other Citri. Winter Minimum +5°C. My Mexican Lime has taken -3° late frost in April without any damage. Even not on young soft leaves.
