Do to limitations on coldest weather available I can say no damage or bark splitting of my potted outside unprotected north side of house Poncirus Trifoliata after a winter of -12F, -6F, -6F, -5f with highs as low as 0F. Do I have something unusual.

pagnr and jibro, are you talking about Swingle Citrumelo or "Swingle 5 Star"? They are not the same!
Hi Till, Yes I realised that, This thread has wandered from 5 star to true swingle to FD. I wasn't aware that 5star may not be progeny of Swingle. I was talking about Swingle, from previous posts, and assuming 5star was a relative too. Cheers

ilya11 do you still have M33 citroncirus (poncirus trif.x c. limon)** Citremon ? Yes, I managed to get rid of its phytophthora infection by high temperature treatment.
It is now around 3 m high and flowered for the first time in 2015. In 2012 it was nearly killed by -16C but recovered nicely in two seasons.
