I was looking for some input on the size of the Cara Cara tree. Would I be looking at something like a satsuma or various other citrus after a few years? Where I am at all my satsumas are like 3 or 4 feet after 3 years. Other citrus is like 8 or 9 feet in the same time frame if anyone could advise that would be great a thanks in advance. Forgot to add that everything is supposed to be on flying dragon for the root stock.

Flying Dragon is a dwarfing rootstock. That being said.... Cara Cara is a produces a larger tree than your Satsumas. My Cara Cara is on Swingle and it is 12-15 feet at 10 years old. I would estimate that yours on FD would reach a 9-10 foot level planted outside. Containerized it would be smaller. I do not use FD for orange rootstock as I find benching to be a problem.

I have a bunch if trees Im pretty sure are grafted onto Flying dragon. They have noticeable benching but doesnt appear to be causing any harm yet. They are significantly less vigorous than my trees on C35. The trees on c35 are growing extremely fast

Mine on flying dragon is about 4 ft tall after 15 years. Being variegated may cause it to grow a bit slower than normal though.

My Cara Cara is on Carrizo, was planted in ground in April of 2016, and is now almost 8 ft tall, and had about 35 oranges on it this year (its first crop).
