I have a bunch of Minneola tangelos, most in containers. This is the first year I've gotten some full size fruit. Previous year they were dwarfed due to tree health issues. This is the very first I've picked so far, still a little green. It was good but not as good as the best ones I've had from the grocery store. Flavor isn't as intense. Hopefully the others will get better if I let them ripen longer. The vast majority of the grocery store Minneolas I've bought were not good, watery and soft. A few times they have been amazing though, and I am hoping I can reproduce that flavor.

With age of MTangelos comes better fruit. Good fruit from stores and fruit stands is hard to come by.....nothing beats a good home grown fruit picked at its peak.

They are also better with a lot of summer heat.

It was pretty hot this summer, and they were in the greenhouse for at least half of it pushing 100F almost every day. I wasn't paying much attention to my container trees this year, though, busy with the in-ground stuff.
