It happened last year too. Few of my Tangerine fruits get split. Water too much or nutrient deficient? 2013 bmw 328i xdrive 0 60

Usual suspect when fruit splits is too much water. A nutrient split occurs when the fruit grows too fast.....usually not the culprit

Splitting is more sever with Valencia, Hamlin, Navel and Murcott type fruits. On the other hand splitting problems are very low with grapefruit, Dancy, tangelos and temple. Damage often occurs when trees take up water after a long dry period. Primarily a problem at high temperatures during periods of high humidly and rainfall, often from August through fall. Lastly splitting may result from low to deficient potassium levels which results in thin peel that promotes fruit splitting,

I get this quite often after a heavy rain. The peel can't expand as fast as the tree uptakes water.

I think I water too much. I water every 3 days now and it seems to be getting better.
Thanks everyone.

The fruits are starting to turn yellow. Maybe another one month I can start harvest them.
