Can not change your mind. Folks either love them or hate them. I love them and having grown up catching and eating them, I guess it was a natural progression.

We call them ditch crabs here, because that's where you find them all the time.

I hear that. My wife is from Colorado and you would have to waterboard her to eat one. She also calls them ditch bugs. They are deep water crawfish here and last season I caught 50 forty pound sacks. All kids filled freezer and I sold the rest @ $4.50 per pound. Lots of folks make a living crawfishing.

I have a soloution. Substitute the crawfish in the recipe with a shellfish that you like. Some folks do.
