There were a lof of discussions about the taste of the different kumquat cultivars and hybrids like e.g. mandarinquat. How about their productivity and yield when directly compared?

I only have a Meiwa but it is always loaded with fruits. The taste is excellent and sweet.

Please no discussion about fruit quality but about the fruit quantity you could harvest from a tree.

For me Fortunella margarita has reliable and very strong harvest, Meiwa is the second. Changshou has approximately hundred times less load.

Do you speak about the number of fruits, Changshou is much larger, or really about the total fruit weight? How about Marumi and Indio?

This is my experience in the garden in the South of France. As is said elsewhere much can depend on the rootstock and position. In the case of these kumquats they are grown nearby, but I do not know if their roots are different. Changshou fruits are of course much larger and more sweet, but even the flowering is less abundant. Total yield is strikingly different. I actually have a big problem of what to do with Nagami harvest. This spring two meters high tree gave around 40 kg of fruits.
Meiwa crop is also correct, but my plant is smaller. Kucle harvest is not very bad but I do not like its taste and all the fruits are for local birds. I do not have Indio and Marumi.
