Calamondin is known as being highly nuccelar, but it can form a number of real hybrids for example with Poncirus. Could you all share your progress reports when using Calamondin as female parent?

It was discussed here citrusgrowersv2.proboards.com/thread/967/fukushu-calamondin-meiwa-hybridsI have pollinated into Calamondin and was successful in getting Hybrids, from one pollination. About 50/50 Hybrids and Non Hybrid seedlings. Some weak hybrids produced. One reason I chose Calamondin is that it is very reliable in setting and holding fruit, rare to drop fruit here. That meant good chance of recovering mature seed. Secondly my pollen parent was Microcitrus, so the final plant is Trigenic, Microcitrus X Fortunella X Citrus. I have also got some interesting slightly variable seedlings of Calamondin over the years, not hybrids, but not 100% true to type. Possibly Zygotic. The Merdaka Lime is a Calamondin X Hystrix hybrid, not sure what direction that cross was, but both are highly nucellar. citruspages.free.fr/limes.php#merdeka Years ago I grew 2000 plus Meiwa seedlings, hoping to get a variant or variegated or anything different. Not one variant was found, in leaf shape, vigour, thorns. etc. That said, I would still consider using it as a seed parent. Again it is reliable in setting and holding fruit

Thanks, I already know this thread, but hoped that others also tried to use Calamondin and could share their experiences.

Overall the Calamondin and Fortunella hybrids are on the small fruited side, generally smaller than the larger parents fruit. Possibly Sunquat is a larger fruit than usual from reports. Not sure the parentage is 100% known ?

This thread is not about Sunquat, but you are right. Some say, it is derived from a Meyer lemon, others say it is from Satsuma, others say it is from a mandarin.
