I have a few fruit and was planning to grow the seeds. Is centennial true to seed(with variegated leaves) or is the rootstock of any value?
Thanks

Of the kumquat group, only the nagami kumquat comes true from seed.

Wow and I thought it was the Meiwa that was true to seed. Anyway my seed grown Meiwa produced good fruits that I could not tell from the grafted mother plant. If you plant the seeds you can graft the same tree on the new seedling. I have a New Zealand lemonade grafted on a New Zealand lemonade rootstock seedling.

Variegated citrus usually produce only albino seedlings.

Welp…looks like I’ll have to grow them out and see.
I read somewhere that I could possibly get one seed that has two shoots and that one of those would be a clone to the mother. Also there was mention of a 1515 or 1516 rootstock?
Thanks for the responses
