My second bud has been dormant and in shade 2 months so It is spring time for it now. The first bud seems to be going the way of the Seville sour orange.

My PT shoot is now 9.75 inches long with no sigh of it budding over. The second PT on Seville sour is expanding like a pimple so it is probably a flower bud. I rid it when I know for sure.

This is not uncommon when there's a rapidly growing scion that hasn't had a chance to lignify it's tissue. The solution is to stake the scion until strong, hardened tissue has developed. Strong Spring winds will also break off unprotected outdoor grafts. Less vigorous grafts are less susceptible.
