My kumquat is larger compared to last year. I think it's Nagami. Not sure.

Yes this is Nag. Size varies from year to year.....varibles include.....fertlize, water, weather, age of tree. This is a little sour kumquat but it makes great marmalade, wine and such. Enjoy.

I can eat them like that and I also preserved them for over a year with salt. Drink them with honey, increase the immune system during winter. Picture on the left is preserved on 2018 and the one in the right is this year.

Does the kind of kumquat matter? I grow meiwa and fukushu (aka changsou) and have more than I can use.

Yes there are significant differences between nagami, meiwa, and fukushu/changshou. Marumi is nearly identical to fukushu, and the hybrid quats are much different
