last spring I planted a summer royale to replace a flame grape. It did very well, grew about 7 foot vertical and made it onto my trellis. It spread a bit, and shockingly gave me a few bunches of fruits on new wood. I said a real keeper. However this year no fruit. I was a bit disappointed to say the least especially since i pulled my other grape vine. It seems well and is growing. Could it just be taking a year off? Has anyone ever heard of grapes on all new wood in the same season? (No, I'm not making this up)

Does it need a pollenizer? I'm not familiar with grapes, but your other vine may have been acting as a pollenizer...

I planted one also last year (summer royale seedless) and now its getting long (10-14 ft vine) but zero fruits. At least you got to taste your grapes.
I have a Kyoho grape (Japanese variety) which is a much larger plant (1"trunk) and it gets many fruits so I like this one. It has seeds but still tastes excellent.
