I'm so jealous! I have a Hirado Butan pomelo about that size, in the ground. I had about a dozen fruits on it, but all but one fell off. Then June drop got the last one. My poor tree has had a hard life. It got planted in a bad place, got moved, got chewed down to just above the graft (crazy dog), then got moved again. Maybe next year.. TFN

I got best in show with a Hirado Butan I had years ago at the Citrus expo. It got too big to protect.

Mine is on dwarfing rootstock, I think. I got it from Stan. I'm not sure how big it will get.

I planted a valentine at the beginning of spring. I’ve wanted one for years, saw one in the nursery and had to get it. On standard rootstock.

I have a semi-large Valentine pummelo tree planted in the ground. It provides a lot of fruit. The valentine pummelo's taste is OK, but the fruit could use a little more zing to it. The variety is a bit mellow.

The Valentine pummelo that you sent me has grown quite a bit, thanks again. It is in-ground in my greenhouse. No fruit yet but I expect next year will be good now that I have my greenhouse environmental controls set up.

Here's my valentine tree grafted 5 yrs ago. Get many fruits on the tree but the fruits get too large so need to thin them out and brace the branch up. It tastes good, but my cocktail is sweeter.
