Good afternoon,
I recently bought a citrus tree and decided to try my hand at growing it in a pot...i think the tag said it was about 2 years old and only stands about 3 feet tall give or take. the First few weeks went well and i watered often to get the tree established in the pot. Now my leaves are all turned brown and starting to curl, die and fall off. I would only water the soil until the water started to run out the holes in the bottom of the pot. The top of the soil always seemed to dry out, but i think the bottom was still moist with water. I live in St. Louis, MO and it has been extremely hot lately. I also had the tree placed to where it received sun all day....Do you I overwatered and got root rot, or is it possible the young tree could not handle the extreme heat and sun?
Working on loading pictures...appears this storage space is at capacity? Anyone know how to upload photos elsewhere? Saw the thread posted about photos last month, but it wasnt able to understand fully how to upload.

> I would only water the soil until the water started to run out the holes in the bottom of the pot. You better put all the pot in water for half an our to be sure is really wet.
> I also had the tree placed to where it received sun all day. This is a mistake. Put it in shade like under a tree.

Check the roots state. Sorry I shall be away for one week. I hope someone else will follow you.
