How is the flavor of the rind of a lemonquat. I read elsewhere that it is not a hybrid between a Meyer lemon and a kumquat but between a mandarin and a kumquat. For me it is only interesting if it has a true lemony flavor in the rind.

I can't answer for lemonquat but I have a new Zealand lemonade tree that produces mildly sweet lemons with low levels of acid that taste like lemons. It is 25% lemon and 75% mandarin.

My friend ate the rind and told me it was good so I started eating the rinds.
