I used to enjoy going to local nurseries to see what kind of cool stuff they had. After some years I feel like I have seen everything and I'm already growing anything interesting. I am thinking of planning a trip to Florida just to check out the tropical nurseries they have there.

Like you , I used to enjoy browsing nurseries. Like you I tired of seeing the same thing year after year. I had more varities than the nursery. Final conclusion...nurseries are for the average consumer, the ladies that read "yard beautiful. Not for a guy looking for a new or interesting blood orange. Now on line is a lot more interesting and usually has pics......and most on line places have some real information.

You guys need to visit a "real" nursery. Kelley and I visited Hershell Boyd's Triple Bee Citrus Nursery and came home with a couple of varieties that I have never heard of before. I don't go to retail garden centers any more for citrus as they only carry the popular varieties that everybody knows about because their space is limited.
