Anyone in the states have any large interesting citrons? It seems US growers pretty much ignore citrons all together.

This spring I got a first fruit of Corsican citron:   You can eat its albedo like an apple, it is moderately sweet without bitterness, outer skin is aromatic with some slight bitter taste.  Inside part has some acid, much less than in a lemon, it is filled with multiple seeds that are bitter.

Yes, UCR has quite a collection but most all are "Not commercially available in California"...

I am growing a turunji mainly to see how large it can become. Otherwise, I really do not see any reason to grow a citron.
