ilya11, concerning your above post, do you have any backup on the eventual flowering of immature rootstock turning mature in time after a scion is grafted upon it.?

Never tried to see what is going with roots, but probably it will depend on rootstock variety, some acid mandarins and sour oranges are very slow to mature.

Also, if it is resprouted not from the stem base, but from roots, it should behave like a nucellar seedling, since roots contain only one germinal layer and resulting plants are reprogrammed to be juvenile.
