Hello everybody! I was interested in the early mandarin Fallglo (Bower mandarin x Temple tangor), did anyone taste such fruit? What can you say about him? Fallglo should mature 1 week earlier than Robinson, or 2 weeks earlier than Sunburst. Does not require pollination. citrusvariety.ucr.edu/citrus/fallglo.html

Yes, I have a Fallglo tree. The fruit is different in that when you peel it, it gives off a strong smell (can't describe) not like other madarin. Fruit has plenty of seeds, kinda sour until it is fully ripe. Once its ripe then it is good tasting. It is not one of my favorites. Tree grows upright and has smaller leaves than satsuma.
This one fruit is a disfigured flying saucer fruit, normally they do not have the navel/bellie button.
