GT, I think my cocktail tastes better than the ones you listed. I only tasted one golden grapefruit and it was good, but not as good as cocktail. I like the Thong Dee more than the Hirado Buntan.

sc4001992, I agree that Cocktail is great and I also like Golden very much. I am growing both out of curiosity and since our kids like them. ;-) To me, HB tastes much better. I never had a chance to taste Thong Dee but trust your judgement. Guess, I need to find it somewhere. Thanks!

GT, I got rid of my HB a long time ago, maybe I didn't wait long enough to try the fruit. My HB fruits never turned red like Laaz fruits.
If you try the Thong Dee, you will like it. I may need to graft another HB just to try the fruits again.

I may need to graft another HB just to try the fruits again. This is very interesting! My hirado was great, while in a pot and then even better in ground. I was trying the fruits in mid December and they were very red :-) and very sweet. We must either have different climate or different cultivars. |

I've never liked pomelo, but maybe I didn't taste the correct one, the HB sounds like that  Spaniards use pomelo for pomelo and grapefruits, and the most common is star ruby. Do you think that is a very different taste or HB is better but simular? |
