As far as I know, nobody tested it yet, it is supposed around -10°C(14F) it's actually C. ichangensis x Otaheite acidless Rangpur lime cross, Ichangensis was a seed parent. Fruits are edible with a sour taste, no bitterness, but there are too many big seeds inside, so it's not much usable. Photo from Czech grower K. Mundl

this will be its first winter. But I will protect it this winter. I think it is still too small.

Hi Mikkel, is your SP Urban still alive? I am interested what minimum temperatures were exposed during the last two winters and if were damaged...I tested my SP Urban seedling during the last two winters in an unheated greenhouse and it has only very minor damage but the minimum temperature was only - 8°C (17.6 F) in 2020/21 and - 7°C (19,4 F) last winter.

this winter, although much milder than the last, it has suffered more, but it is still alive. only 1 single night with -10°C
20/21 there were longer colder temperatures. Unfortunately, I can't find the chart right now.

That's a lot of damage for one night with -10°C, SP Urban is probably less hardy than I thought maybe only around - 8°C...

I think it's not just the temperature. The winter of 20/21 was longer and colder, even down to -10 or -13°C (depending on location) but it survived much better. I think the cold this year came too fast. the winter before got cold slower and was more consistently cold. Many of my plants in the garden have suffered more this year than the winter before....

As far as I know, Mr. Urbans goal was quite opposit. He wanted to create rootstock for indoor growing. SP is acronym for Special rootstock in czech.
