Hi Alan, it is Batumi Citrumelo there is not much information online. most of it can be found in Czech and Polish online forums. I bought mine from ADAVO. But even there not much information. As far as I know it is in collections in the USA. Ilya send me seeds he could perhaps tell you more? some pictures:

Not much to add, I got my grafted plant from B.Voss in Hamburg, it died after Arctic episode with -13C, but I saved some of its seedlings, all nucellar. They are resistant on own roots up to -15C, but with substantial damage. Fruits are rather small for citrumelo and turn orange at full maturity. For me they look more like those of citrange. Greenish flesh, acid, not much bitter, no internal oils.

Cirtumelo "Batumske" originated from research station in Batumi. Interesting feature- tend to bear heavy fruit crops.

Hello Kevin54500,
I have Batumi Citrumelo, too. It is still a small plant about 50cm high but has flowered very well this year and is bearing four fruits. The first one was ripe mid October. It was still a little bit green but taste was pretty good. Sour, not bitter but otherwise grapefruitlike, no Poncirus flavours, no sticky oils. The other fruits are now almost totally yellow but do not fall off as the first fruit. I think the first fruit fell off earlier because the crop was too big for the little plant. Fruit size is like a supermarket mandarine which is really a lot for four fruits of such a little plant. I like the plant. It has big beautiful shiny leaves and big fragrant flowers. My plant is growing in a green house that is only heated during severe frost in winter. Our summer has been extraordinary cool and wet but temperature in green house was often over 20°C / 68°F.

hello amazing it looks like big fruit already! very interesting the taste promises to be better then you will tell us, here also in general the summers are quite hot, this year cool and humid only 32 ° degrees maximum while in general we are close to the 40 ° of now ... I go see what temperature your hybrid is supposed to withstand the cold
