In my situation I don’t have a choice, just being a zone pusher is it. I have a nice collection of citrus trees and producing just enough fruits to last through the winter months. It’s just a gratifying sport. First the enjoyment of the flowering than the coloring of fruits now. Inground? What about inground, nah, tree’s getting to big way to much for a family and friends, limited to just a couple of tree’s. No enjoyment. Got family and friends in California who has them in their small yard, fruits laying on the ground, in the garbage it goes. I like my setup better, about a dozen varieties and in total of over 30 trees. I enjoy my trees year around. Sam,s help me out too. My inground Asian/ Spanish persimmon, paw paw,s. Pears, figs are a burden to ask friends and neighbors every year if they like some fruits. If you have a business that’s a different story.
