This little tree had 38 mandarins total, every year it produces about the same. How does it taste? Not as sharp as my Page, more sweet. Attachments:

I am two states north of Marro in Colorado. The fruit on my Xie Shan tree are just starting to turn yellow. My tree has set a pretty good crop.

Does it taste better than sumo/shiranui ?
My grafts are too small so it won't have fruits until next year.

I do have a couple of Shiranui tree,s , last year, I was not impressed with it( first year fruit). This winter might be different.

I have both a Shiranui tree and a xie shan. Both taste good, but if I could only keep one tree I would keep the Xie Shan. Xie Shan won every Citrus Expo best tasting contest that I have been present at.

Well Millet, I did graft the Xie Shan because I read your posts about how its taste is excellent. I hope it tastes good, if it is I may need to change over some of my sumo grafts next year.

What is the best time to graft Xie Shan?
OMG, Xie Shan is no long approved budsource from CCPP websit.
Does anyone know where I can purchase scion for it?
