This year I had the first flowers on my Feijoa. I can`t wait. I hope you are lucky, but it is said that most varieties are not self-fertile. I cannot give an opinion because mine is a unknown variety, but there are other feijoas nearby. By the way, the flower petal is edible, it is sweet.

It is a tree that endures a few degrees below zero, and very resistant to disease. It's not big, mine do not exceed 3 meters, is easy to keep them in a pot for a few years and they can produce already in the second year. If you want I can send you some seeds, I have many.

My plant was hardy down to -10°C in the last winters.

I meant I'm jealous that you have lots of different fruit plants. I've just started collecting this year. I have quite a few plants now but I always want more. but I plan on waiting till spring before I order more.

Psidium striatulum On the left a kiwi to compare the size, although it is not representative because this year it has only had those two and you can see that they are very different.

Do they set fruit well outside for you? Do you know the variety? Feijoa must be grown outside. Never sick, accept drought and water, cold and hot, and cover of fruits.

I have a friend here in Switzerland who grows Mammoth and Unique in a poly tunnel with excellent results. Meanwhile, they are shy bearers outside. I don't have one in the ground for lack of space.
