I found this flattened lemon and I am curious to know if it is something normal and what the reason for its shape is. What's the name of that wrinkle on top? I think I've seen it on other citrus fruits.

That may be the result of bud mites.

Not a shot from the gene pool...more than likely a physically stressed lemon. Mites dry conditions stressed as it grew.

I don't know exactly what bugs bud mites are, I'm guessing some kind of aphid. It's been a disaster this year, a lot of aphids and fungi. Can a bud mite make the lemon deform like that?
I don't think that is a dry problem, Galicia is a rainy land and this year especially, it has rained a lot. If it was the reason I suppose I would have more lemons looking like that.

Thank you Laaz, but I've never seen these bugs, and if this is correct and I 've understood well I I would have found them inside this lemon or any of my other citrus fruits Maybe it's starting, I will look.
