Hello!
I have a small Kucle tree (Kumquat x Clementine). Kucle is said to be mostly pollen sterile. And that is what I actually observed the last years. Almost all of its flowers developed no visible pollen, only ocasionally the anthers carry some yellow powder. But this year was different. I placed my Kucle in my newly build winter garden. It flowered and all flowers, without exception, showed a good amount of pollen. I cannt tell whether it was fertile. But at least there was a lot of pollen in ALL flowers. This observation reminded me of a note from Ilya11 in a private message that pollen of Thomasville Citrangequat (if I rightly remember) is much more usefull in South France than near Paris.
Would be interesting if we could gather similar observations here - or contractory ones.
Yours,Till

Yes, under warmer conditions of daytime temperatures around +30C Thomasville was giving a lot of viable pollen.
I was able to produce several dozens of its hybrid seedlings by pollination of 5star flowers.
