Still on the hunt for that impossible Monachello... what happened to buyplantsonline? Is the nursery gone, did someone else buy it?

Still on the hunt for that impossible Monachello... what happened to buyplantsonline? Is the nursery gone, did someone else buy it? Hi Laaz. I grow a fruit-bearing Monachello tree (large bush really), as well as about 100 other citrus varieties. PM me if you still want budwood. Scott

Beautifull trees Laaz. If we could get this "Citrusgrowersv2" forum site to grow like your trees we would all have it made.

Lemons are my favourite citrus trees. I plant just them... Unfortunately Monachello is not part of my collection. It is number 1 Mal Secco resistant lemon in Italy.

Lazz. Here are a few photos of the Monachello (?) fruit I took yesterday. Nearly full size now, but not yellow yet. I’ll post a few more of the leaves, stems, flower buds also.

Here are some photos of my Monachello (?) foliage, buds, and leaves. Tree (large bush at about 12 feet height) growing on own it’s roots. It was essentially 6-trunked (due to a prior freeze) then another bad freeze took it down to the ground and regrowth resulted in many more trunks (over 1 dozen now). Suckers readily. Growth is rapid (1’ per flush or more). Repeat blooms, but only one (or none) fruit per flower cluster due to aborted ovaries in most buds (functionally male). Some thorns, but mostly small. Strong lemon/citron smell to leaves when crushed. Fruit tart and good lemon flavor. I will look for old photo of ripe fruit.
