I’m so glad I found the site again! I am in Thousand Oaks now and am enjoying our 12 citrus, and 5 avocado trees. We also have 13 stone fruits. I have a question off the bat- Has anyone seen a large, lumpy skinned lemon that resembles a Lisbon? I have a cocktail citrus I got as a gift and, while there are Meyers on it, this is greatly different. It’s coming out of the tangelo graft but is certainly not a tangelo... Thoughts?

Welcome back. Any photos would help. Gina out in CA. had a lemon tree a while back that produced large lumpy lemons as well.

ibb.co/NshYwskThis is it. I am also looking for somewhere I can get route stock from. My friends mother is selling their house and has a beloved Meyer lemon there. They want to graft a few trees. I just bought a couple new Myers for a mini orchard we are planting and I don’t see a graft spot. Can Myers be grown from seed true?

Not seed. Cuttings are extremely easy to start and grow for Mlemon. I never graft a Meyer.....not needed. Start cuttings from the top of a bearing tree. They will grow off fast with reasonable care and will start to bear in 18 months.....cold does not really do in Mlemon....especially grown on its own roots.....comes back after damage from the roots.

Thanks so much! I did root some and will hopefully see some growth in about a month (?)... In the meantime, I also read you can do the same for navels...is that true and/or advised? I grafted my navels into C-35 but can’t find any rootstock now. I’m looking for flying dragon seeds if you know anyone. 😊
Thank you!

Send me your address and I will send you a few FD seed. I would graft my orange trees. They grow pretty large and respond well to a root stock.
