Swallowtails are extremely rare in Germany. I see only 1 in a year.
I am surprised that these are a pest in your area.

They are here all summer in large quantities. The larvae can destroy your entire seasons grafts in a day or two. They are very destructive to citrus plants.

Personly I like Giant Swallowtail butterflies, they are very beautiful. Unfortunately, they don't live in Colorado. We are much to cold.

No swallowtails thus far, but the aphids are starting to show up here in Atlanta
