Not for me - in UK climate. Normal Poncirus grows steadily here but takes about 12-15 years to start flowering and fruiting. I received seed from Laaz at least 10 years ago (can't remember exactly) and some have been flowering for about 6 years. However, they have hardly grown at all and are still only about 1ft (30cms) tall. I've only seen a couple of flowers which set fruit, and these dropped off when still small. Most flowers appear sterile with no ovule present. So, early flowering - yes. But my hopes of being able to make early-fruiting hybrids has not been possible.

As I observed, the ratio of the number of flowers on the tree, to the number of fruit that actually set, is pretty much the same as most citrus. About 2 percent of the flowers produce fruit

Most likely climate related. I'll go out in a few minutes & get some photos of some of my seedlings with fruit on them. I totally neglect them & they still flower & fruit in a community pot.

I will also add both my inground tree & container mess have never been fertilized or cared for, I just let them do their thing. Maybe neglect is the key.

Not for me - in UK climate. That doesn't sound good for me since I'm in Ireland and have slightly worse weather than you. But I suppose they might flower in a greenhouse
