My fukushu and meiwas had a large bloom in early June and have been sporadically flowering since then. They do this every year and I can start picking by mid December though they are better come January. They are in ground trees. Meiwa is 20+ years old and fukushu is only about 5. I like the fukushu much better for fresh eating although meiwas are good addition to a salad once seeds are removed.

Oops, the above photos are actually Marumi, not Fukushu. They are very, very similar, I didn't even notice it was the wrong type until I looked at the labels today. Fukushu fruit has a more prominent dimple on the base, and is a bit more pear-shaped than Marumi

I am glad to see that you all are getting Fukushu fruits. My in ground Fukushu is 2 months into its 5 year outside and is 5.5 years old from seed sprout. I am glad my tree is not 25 feet tall but just pushing 7 feet. I took a bud from node 53+/- and grafted it to C35. It is in a 30 gallon container and comes inside for the winter. Both trees have flowered but never set fruit.

Both of my Fukushu kumquat tree are flowering again but dropping the flowers. Both trees look very healthy and robust. Getting glassed in for the winter.

Brian, nice looking Fukushu tree, you have done a good job with it. Interesting that your tree's growth is straight up. My Fukushu is much more of a globe shape.
