I don't know what that is, but it seems like, last year, I had some that looked like that during growing season, but filled out to be more smooth at harvest time. I don't remember which one it was....old age, I guess. LOL.

I figured out what your fruit is. It must be a "Citremon". Half citron, half lemon.

TFN No, Citremon is a hybrid of Poncirus and Lemon, like similiar Citranges (Poncirus x Orange) and Citrumelo and its leaves are trifoliates. I have seen many times very similar wrinkles on citranges in open ground, they are due to a spider mite attack during spring flowering.

It is actually a citremon half trifoliate and half lemon.. The fruits have always been pumpkin shaped so I guess I have spider mites on this tree every year!

Bud mites will also cause fruit to be shaped oddly. Is all the fruit shaped like this?

Some problem with spider mites is quite obious with this plant. Is it cold hardy? Do citremons have winged petioles?

I must confess, Stan told me what it was, but I just had to put something controversial in there. ☺

It is actually a citremon half trifoliate and half lemon.. The fruits have always been pumpkin shaped so I guess I have spider mites on this tree every year! I have huge citremon, more than 4 m high, but its leaves are all trifoliate in a shape.
Actually, there are some sort of wrinkles, but not so deep.

If you will click on the links Laaz provided.. the photo on the top far right shows the ridges.. THe second photo with the fruit cut cross sectioned shows the indentions on the edges of the fruit where the ridges are located.. Its a citremon. Trifoliate type leaves only larger
