It is amazing how small and unconventional grafts can work. I have grafted rootstock and scion so small that I had to use tweezers to complete it. So small it was uncomfortable and a pain to wrap. But it can be done. I have experimented with root grafting and have found success only if the scion had at least part of a growing leaf on it. I suppose that if one had a magnification system it would be a more comfortable process....but for now I will continue with conventional sizez and procedures

Grafting cuttings with fruit. The fruit should stay on the branch and ripen

I never tried that before. Please upload a picture if you get the fruit to ripe.

What about the new growth? If you looking for new growth, you don’t want fruit.

The formation of the crown of the citrus by grafting. Initially, the goal was to create a fork - by grafting 2 cuttings behind the bark. But different force growth has identified leader - pomelo - he became Central barrel. The orange stalk became a side branch. Thus, you can create tiers and branches on a tree of different varieties.

Samodekin, interesting thread. It has never came to my mind, of grafting a small scion onto a root. I don't think I have never needed to do it. . However, thank you for your thread, and pictures. Very interesting indeed.
