That's proboards rules. You're better off using a photo hosting site.

 i seem to still be having problems uploading pictures.. Any advice? I'm following the instructions perfectly even using the same site to host my pictures |

I open your link: permies.com/t/148795/Budding-citrus-trees-Seville-sour#1161786, Than with the right mouse button clicked on the image and opened the option “ Copy the image address”. After, on Proboard message in the BBcode mode, I opened “Insert Image” option and pasted this address (https://permies.com/t/148795/a/118966/thumb-118669648_2624432754533749_895801127898115462_o.jpg) into it.
