"Trees on Citrus macrophylla (CM), Volkamer lemon (VL), and Cleopatra mandarin (Cleo) were the most productive."
It means that CM, VL and Cleo were tested for Saudi Arabia climate.

It means that CM, VL and Cleo were tested for Saudi Arabia climate. Yes all were tested, including all the others mentioned with not so good results. Note they were tested in the Najran area of Saudi Arabia. Not sure how exactly similar this would be to your area ?? You could read the article for more details, or try to find other Citrus research in Saudi Arabia This company also supplies and exports seed, average price is $ 100 US for 1000 seed ( + freight and import charges ) Not many other companies or organisations supply this range of types or at these minimum quantities for commercial use ?? lyncitrusseed.com/rootstock-seed/

"Yield, fruit quality, and tree health of ‘Allen Eureka’ lemon on seven rootstocks in Saudi Arabia" "It is interesting that all of these rootstocks are Citrus varieties, or species in the old classification, and no modern trifoliate hybrids such as Citranges or Citrumelos were trialled."
The reason maybe because Allen Eureka is not compatible to most Trifoliate hybrids and they will not adapt to sandy soil in Najran.
