I really like this cultivar, very compact habit, nice rounded leaves, takes to the indoors well, always in some sort of state of fruiting and bloom, and very trouble free. Great tree for a in/out hobbyist. The first fruits I had had one or two large seeds. The last three fruits I had zero seeds which was quite surprising. I find the insides very tangeriney for lack of a better description. The peel is neither here nor there sort of like apple.

Fukushu/changshou is my favorite citrus. I have noticed that the smaller fruit tend to be better and sometimes seedless while the largest fruit are often seedy and more bland tasting. I wonder if pollination affects this.

Possible. Have not dealt with this kumquat but.....when a usually seedless citrus is full of seed a nearby bloomer can be the culprit. I like this kumquat.

Very nice. I am in zone 9 so I have not a green containment....but I find that through the years the desire to have one sometimes haunts me. Its a want not a need. Most of my citrus is in the ground except limes....in containers.

Great kumquat. Possibly the largest I have seen of this variety. I have a Mewia about 25 feet tall and 20 foot spread on it, grafted to carizzo. It bears tons and I give them to a old wine maker and he bestows a few bottles on me from time to time. Its not bad wine.
