Does any one have experience with Fukushu (Changshou) kumquat cold hardiness? I have a small one planted in ground spring 2018, it did fine through winter, but the late freeze did some damage to it.

I've never let mine get cold, but they are a really awesome cultivar. My favorite citrus. If only they were seedless...

How many years from seed before you got fruit?

My fukushu is blooming in the middle of July. Will they have time to ripen before mid Dec., or do I need to pull off the little fruitlets to allow for more growth?

All my kumquat trees are blooming again now. I dont remember how long it takes for the fruit to develop, though, my trees are protected from frost
