It appeared to me that trading citrus Budwood is a thing of the past. Itβs a good thing that I have my collection in place. It was a fun trip the last 3 years, not happy!!

Because of all the citrus bans in place now, or bad interactions with people? SPLAIN YOSELF.

Legally you canβt exchange sionwood with people living in the southern states or west coast.I am not even going try anymore. Even foreign nurseries donβt want to deal with exchanges with U S nurseries. Try to get anything from Italy.

Not legally.Talking about trading, i know that members are not excited about Meyer lemons, i got two plants. A couple of years ago i needed welding done, found out one of my friends is a welder. I gave him a bag of Meyers, his wife was real excited about it, so i asked him some welding on my handtruck conversion, bring it over. After welding i ask him how much, he told me how about some of those lemons, end of story. Here is another story about exchanges, got this spanish type of persimmon got a lot responses willing to trade for fancy mandarins that i decided to grow, now i got the finest ones growing.

Correct me if I am wrong. I think only FL is not allowed to trade seeds.

I still can't wrap my head around the reasoning behind State wide bans, if only a handful of counties along the coast are testing positive for HLB. I suppose they have their reasons.

Seeds do not carry the HLB virus.

I have Meyers also, and have given away many lemons and plants. All my friends and neighbors love them. I have also traded lemons for labor. But that too will soon be a thing of the past.
