All this lemon talk has me wanting to plant a lemon in my yard. I am in zone 8a, and have satsumas and various other citrus in the yard, but not a lemon. Which lemon is most "lemon like" and cold hardy, Ichang, Taichang, or is there something better tasting, and still very cold hardy. I'm looking for lemon flavor and zest, without "off" flavors.

Lazz knows. I would opt for Harvey because Meyer is not a lemon and has no real lemon character.

8a you will really have to protect, but yes a Harvey.

Rooted plant. If it does get damaged it will come back true.
