Damn things made a nest up in the top of one of my 25 ft grapefruit trees & are chewing the fruit off.

Rat city. I am amazed. I have a grove of 60 trees and through the years I have never had a problem. You need cats. At least cats wont eat your gfruit.

Come to think of it the only real varmit problem I have had is skunks. One year they were dining on every Owari they could reach. Gave them a dose of #6 shot. Only happened one year. I guess skunk food was scarce.

I saw a thread said used a baseball bat hit the bark of the tree will increase the more fruit. I guess same apply here, sewing your bat at them. π€π€

Radical remedy. I guess I have never taken batting practice on the tree.....would rather hit the varmit.....π

We don't have skunks here... Thank god! Now tree rats, I shoot them & even more appear!

You got to go after them starting January 1 till December 31,donβt let up.
